We gladly rent to our customers staying in Island Park, Idaho, however, we do not offer delivery to there. If you're staying in Island Park, you can either ride the trails back to where you’re staying or trailer your rentals if you have access to one.
Equipment is rented beginning at 8:00 A.M. on the first day of your rental. They must be returned by 5:00 P.M. on the last day of your rental. If you rent multiple days, you may keep them where you’re staying.
If the rental is not returned by 5:00 P.M. on the last day of your rental there will be a minimum charge of $200.00 to your account. If the snowmobile is not returned by 6:00 P.M. on the last day of your rental we will call the West Yellowstone Police Department and request Search and Rescue to look for you.
If we have to send out technicians to retrieve the vehicle due to damage or getting into a situation where you cannot get out of, there will be a minimum charge of $200.00 added to your account.
The damage waiver covers only damage to the snowmobile you rented. It does not cover personal injury or damage to other snowmobiles / vehicles / people / property. You can read the full Damage Waiver here.
The damage waiver is available for all snowmobiles. The cost is $25.00 per day per snowmobile. The deductibles are $1500.00 for stock snowmobiles and $2500.00 for Arctic Cat Alpha, all Stage 2 and Turbo Snowmobiles. You can read the full Damage Waiver here.
No. We only have a damage waiver for our snowmobile rentals.
No. If you damage a vehicle while it is rented to you, you do not get the damaged parts that are taken off. These are property of Highmark Rentals.
You are responsible for all damage to the rental while it is in your possession. This includes any damage that occurs at the hotel. Be advised we have many issues with birds destroying the seats at many of the motels in town. You are responsible. To help deter damage due to wildlife, be sure to take everything out of the seat compartments. But this is not a guarantee. You are also welcome to leave rentals with us overnight.

Our vehicles are full when you check them out. You are required to fill them up prior to returning them. If they are not full when returned, we will charge you for the fuel. Please utilize only 91 Octane/Premium fuel when filling up the snowmobiles, ATVs and UTVs.
We provide the oil for all of our snowmobiles. We ask that if you rent multiple days, bring the snowmobile back every two days and we will fill the oil for you.
There are over 400 miles of groomed trails to ride the rentals on, including trailheads that are 150 feet from our shop. We will provide you with a map of the trails. The trails are marked at each intersection and easy to follow.
Please utilize mtavalanche.com to get the current snowmobile conditions. This will provide snow depths as well as avalanche conditions.
Since the trails around West Yellowstone are easy to self-navigate, we do not offer any guided trips. However, if you would like to book a guide, we do have one that we recommend and can furnish his information upon request.
We do not offer snowmobile tours into Yellowstone National Park. ATVs and UTVs are not allowed in the park at any time.
